Short answer

Honkai: Nexus Anima does not have a release date. HoYoverse has not announced one.

Not a date, not a window, not a year. That has been true since the game was revealed in August 2025 and it is still true as of August 8, 2026, two closed beta tests later.

What is actually dated

The game has a real, documented history — it just does not include a launch. Here is everything with a date attached, and everything without one:

MilestoneWhen
First closed beta (Nexus Bond Test) September 17–23, 2025
Second closed beta (Evolution Test) July 9 – July 27, 2026
Third closed beta Not announced
Release date Not announced

Sign-up windows, invite dates and exact times are on the beta test timeline, which is the most detailed part of this site.

Why there is still no date

The most direct evidence is HoYoverse's own framing of the second closed test. In the announcements around the Evolution Test, the studio said the game remains in a development and polishing phase, and that the test build does not represent the quality of the final game. That is not the language of a studio holding a date back for a marketing beat — it is a studio saying it is not finished.

The other piece of context is simply how recent all of this is. The Evolution Test only ended on July 27, 2026. A closed test's whole purpose is to produce feedback the team then acts on; announcing a launch date days after one closes would make the test pointless.

Can we estimate one anyway?

Not honestly, and this page is not going to pretend otherwise. Here is every scrap that could be used to build an estimate, and why each one fails:

The gap between the two closed tests

The Nexus Bond Test ran in September 2025 and the Evolution Test in July 2026 — roughly ten months apart. That is one interval. One interval is not a cadence. If you use it to project a third test, you are assuming a pattern that has never repeated even once.

The "early 2027" figure going around

A launch in early 2027 has been suggested in games coverage. Read the source and it is clearly presented as the writer's own expectation, not information from HoYoverse. It gets repeated until it looks like a report. It is not one, and it does not appear on this site as a fact.

What other HoYoverse games did

Tempting and useless. A studio's past schedules tell you about those projects, not this one — and this one is a different genre with a different production shape. Deriving a date this way produces a number with no evidence under it.

This is the same standard applied across the site: a claim goes on a page when a first-party source supports it, and stays off when nothing does. An invented release date is the single most damaging thing a resource like this can publish, because it is exactly what people arrive looking for.

What to watch for instead

A launch date will not be the first thing to appear. These are the things that would plausibly come before it, in rough order:

  1. A third closed beta, or an open beta. Two closed tests in, another round of testing is the obvious next step — and none has been announced.
  2. Storefront or pre-registration pages appearing. Mobile pre-registration and store listings tend to go up well before a dated launch.
  3. A release window rather than a date. Studios usually name a season or a quarter first and tighten it later.

None of the above has happened. When one does, this page changes the same day it is confirmed, and the test timeline gains a row.

Release Date FAQ

When is Honkai: Nexus Anima coming out?
There is no answer to give yet. HoYoverse has not announced a release date, a launch window or even a target year for Honkai: Nexus Anima. The game has run two closed beta tests, the most recent ending on July 27, 2026, and remains in development.
Has HoYoverse announced a Honkai: Nexus Anima release date?
No. As of August 8, 2026 no release date has ever been announced, and coverage of the second closed beta in July 2026 confirmed that no date existed at that point. Any specific date you see quoted elsewhere did not come from HoYoverse.
Is Honkai: Nexus Anima out yet?
No. The game has only been playable during two limited, invite-only closed beta tests: the Nexus Bond Test in September 2025 and the Evolution Test in July 2026. Both have ended and progress from the Evolution Test was wiped. There is no public version to play.
Will Honkai: Nexus Anima launch in 2026?
Unknown, and not something anyone outside HoYoverse can answer. No launch year has been announced at all, so 2026 is neither confirmed nor ruled out. This page will state a year when HoYoverse states one, and not before.
Is the early 2027 release date real?
It is not an announcement. An early-2027 launch has been floated in games media, but it was presented as a writer’s own expectation rather than information from HoYoverse. Treat it as a guess by someone with no more information than you have.
What would be the first sign that a release date is coming?
Realistically, a third closed beta or an open beta being announced, or the game appearing on a storefront or pre-registration page. None of those has happened. A studio does not usually go from a closed test straight to a dated launch with nothing in between.

Where an announcement would show up first

Both closed tests were announced through HoYoverse's own channels — the official site, HoYoLAB and the Chinese community channels. If you want the news the hour it lands rather than the day after, those are the places to watch. This page is checked against them and carries the date it was last verified.
